70 MILES FROM HAVANA (THE WALL) TROLLING AND JIGGING DAY

KEY WEST FISHING
FINALLY AFTER LONG TIME OF BAD WEATHER
WE GOT A PERFECT CONDITIONS DAY !

STARTED THE DAY WITH A STOP OVER THE WRECK AT 175 FT DEEP FOR JIGGING AND THE BITE WAS INSTANT ! BONITO AND RIGHT AFTER A VERY BIG " JACK CREVALLE " !!!

LOOKING TO SEE WHAT IS THE" MAHI MAHI" SITUATION IS STARTED TROLLING 20 MILES OFF SHORE AT "THE WALL "
ALL I COULD FIND IS THE SMALL" MAHI MAHI" !!!
THE MAHI MAHI THIS YEAR ARE DRAMATICALLY SMALLER ALL OVER THE KEYS !!! I FISH HERE MORE THEN 20 YEARS AND THIS IS AS POOR AS THE MAHI FISHING WAS EVER !!!
I USE TO CATCH THE BIG ONES EVERY TRIP ON REGULAR BASES !
TODAY ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND NO ONE SAY NOTHING !!!
THAT MADE ME STOP TROLLING FOR THEM AT THIS POINT .
ON THE WAY BACK STOPPED AGAIN FOR JIGGING AND GOT SOME ACTION AGAIN

Honestly, there is never a bad time to go deep sea fishing in Florida, but if you're on the hunt for certain species you might have to time your deep sea fishing trip for the fall. For some anglers, September through November offer the best fishing in Florida
