Deep sea fishing on the Gulf of Mexico is an adventure that has to be experienced. Captain Ed Johnson has 30 plus years experience fishing the waters of Florida. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned angler Captain Ed will share his indepth knowledge to assure you, your friends and family a day of fishing that won’t soon be forgotten.

Capt Ed runs a 30’ Pro Kat powered with twin 250 Yamaha four stroke engines for speed, no exhaust fumes and reliability. The cat hull provides a fast, smooth and very stable ride to reach offshore fishing grounds.

Our Florida Offshore fishing trips produce many saltwater species as they migrate past our coast throughout the year. This includes: Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, Shark, Barracuda, Kingfish, Dolphin/Mahi-mahi, Tarpon. Blackfin Tuna, Permit and many others. Grouper and Snapper are here year round and are Captain Ed’s specialty.

On a Florida Inshore fishing trip one can expect Trout, Redfish, Snapper, Snook, and Sheephead in the bay inhabiting mangrove spoils, grass flats and other structure. While the inlets or passes hold Pompano, Whiting, and Snook , just to name a few. The variety changes with the seasons just like offshore.

FishFactor offers offshore fishing charters in Venice, FL and surrounding areas including Nokomis, Englewood, Placida, Boca Grande, Fl Tarpon Fishing, Osprey, Bradenton, Siesta Key, Longboat Key and Sarasota, Florida.

Honestly, there is never a bad time to go deep sea fishing in Florida, but if you're on the hunt for certain species you might have to time your deep sea fishing trip for the fall. For some anglers, September through November offer the best fishing in Florida
